suit your face, suit, and budgets. You must consider on three parts of
snorkeling mask before buying:
- Lens: It is the most important
section of your mask. Good quality lenses are made of tempered
glass. They are durable, fog less and performs better under
pressure. Lenses are also made of plastic. They are inexpensive and
more affordable for those who are the beginners.
- Skirt: Another area to look for
before buying a mask is its skirt. It keeps the water out from the
mask. Rubber or silicon are mostly used in its manufacturing.
Silicon skirts are comfortable, more durable and treat chemicals
better in sunscreens.
- Strap: The mask strap help to keep
the mask at correct positions. It also protect the water seal from
breakage.
How To Select A Snorkel Mask:
- Make the strap out of the way by folding it over the front of
mask.
- Now hold the mask against your face.
- It must fit comfortably around your eyes and nose.
- If you aren't feeling nice then choose other size.
- Sticking the mask against your face, inhale through the nose.
- The vacuum created between your face and mask must hold the mask
around your face.
- If it doesn't happen repeat the process until you find a perfect
one.
