gloves help the players to have a firm grip on the ball so that they can
get good control on the ball. Players at different positions require
different gloves. Different positions require different types of gloves:
- Lineman should look for gloves that are heavily padded on the
top of the hand and wrist.
- Flexible, soft gloves that have some tackiness (stickiness) to them are meant for receivers and running backs, as well as defensive backs.
