The most important equipment you would need in the handball sports is the handball. According to the rules of the United States Handball Association (USHA), there are three types of handballs that are used in most US handball tournaments. These are as follows:

• Big Blue for beginners
• Red Ace for the men and
• White Ace for the women

The White Ace is of the same size as the Red Ace, but it is softer and lighter.

Handball Size and Features

The ball used in handball sports is spherical and is made of either leather or a synthetic material. The ball should not have a shiny or slippery surface. As it is playsed using a single hand, the official sizes of handball differs depending on age and gender of the participating teams.

The resin improves players' ability to manipulate the ball with a single hand like spinning trick shots. In some indoor stadiumd, the use of resin is prohibited since they leave sticky stains on the floor.
