Golf
Ball is a ball used to hit in the game of golf. Almost all golf balls
have dimples on their surfaces. Usually the golf balls have about
300-450 dimples. Modern balls are constructed by following two, three,
or four layer design. The playing characteristics like spin, distance,
feel, and trajectory of a golf ball is determined by materials used and
method of construction followed.Weight: The weight of a golf ball shouldn't be more than 1.62 ounces (45.93g). There is no minimum weight limitation for a golf ball. So you can choose a golf ball as much light as possible.
Size: The golf balls must have a minimum diameter of 1.68 inches (42.67mm). No limitation on maximum size of golf balls is imposed. So you can choose a golf ball as large as suited to you.
Market is flooded with a lot of golf ball varieties. It is very tough to decide for a player that which type of ball will suit him.
Golf balls are divided in two broad categories:
- Recreational balls: They are designed for ordinary
players whose swing is about 80 mph or even lower. These balls are
made of two layer. The cover is harder than core. They have lower
prices than advanced balls. The balls have low compression and
reduced side spin reduction.
- Advanced golf balls: These balls suit those golfers whose swing speed is too good.
