Fan and rectangular shape is the two common shapes available. The fan-shaped backboards have a streamlined look and they are inexpensive than rectangular models. You'll have a tough time while making bank shots where a basketball needs to hit the backboard before going into the net. Rectangular backboards are expensive but provide more room to shoot.
Size
Size of backboards cover a wide range. They come in several sizes ranging from 42-inch to 72 inch. Materials

baskets. But they are prone to damage.
- Acrylic backboards are not as rigid as of other materials. They
come with a steel frame for support and look much like regular
indoor baskets.
- Most home users prefer the outdoor durability of acrylic over other materials.
