Basketball
is a team sport played between two teams with five player each. In this
game players put the ball in the opposition net (basket) and score
points. The ball can be advanced in the court by bouncing it (called
dribbling) on the floor or passing it to your teammates. Disruptive
physical contact (foul) isn't permitted. Actually it is an indoor game
but now in modern days it is played outside as well.Games are played in four quarters of 10 minute each with five players on the ground. Five players are reserved for the substitution during the game. Substitution can be done only when play is paused. The basketball court is rectangular in shape and is mainly made of wood. The size of a basketball court is 28 x 15 meters (92 x 49 ft). The height of rim is exactly 10 feet (3.05m) above the court.
