Badminton
was a funny sport in its primitive age. Nets added a competitive element
to this game. It is used to divide the court in two separate parts. The
badminton nets may be knotted or knot less. The nets are resistant to
ultra violet rays.Material used :
Badminton nets are usually made of synthetic materials.
- Nylon
- Polyethylene
- Polypropylene.
- The net shall be made of fine cord of dark color, and thickness
with a mesh between 15mm-20mm.
- The width of net shall be at least 6.1m and the depth should be
760 mm.
- The top of net should be covered with a 75mm wide white tape
doubled over a cord or cable running through the tape. The tape
shall rest upon the cord or cable.
- The height of net from surface of the court shall be 1.524m at the center and 1.55m over the sidelines for doubles.
